Forcing AEPlayThroughChannel to route to headphones only

Hello! Part of an app I am working on involves monitoring the microphone with AEPlayThroughChannel. Is there a way to select only the headphones as the output for this?

It works great as is, but of course when the user unplugs the headphones, the audio is routed to the speaker, which in my case is not needed/wanted.
